The wish-list.

It's getting bad again, my window shopping addiction, it has to be window shopping because every penny i earn at the minute is going straight into my Mexico fund. I'm super excited for holiday times but i don't go until the end of July and with the second or third coming of winter, it cannot come bloody quick enough. So thus, I am only allowed to window shop. This is the perfect time to construct a little post about all the beautiful things I've came across in the last few weeks (maybe in vain hope that some wealthy person will see this list and just send it all to my house, just kidding) but in all seriousness, i LOVE to make lists, especially when it comes to outfits. Especially in the way that John Cusack does in High Fidelity, one of my absolute favourite films of all time.

So, my top 5 most wanted items at the moment are:

1)  Block style grip shoes. ASOS Market-place.

These beauties would go with everything! Perfect for day or night, dresses or with shorts. Frilly socks and woolly tights.

2) Spot Bardot Tunic dress. Topshop.

I think i fell in love with the simplicity of this tunic dress. Ive oggled at this from afar in Topshop, and the colour is spot on. Bad pun. But it seriously is lovely, and is so versatile.

3) Overall skinny high waist dungaree's. White Pepper.

These are just amazing. There bold and show a side of childhood, don't know about you but i loved dungarees the first time round, now that they're here again maybe i won't cover mine in mud. Perfect with a baggy tee or detailed shirt.

4)Purple grape high waist bikini. Topshop.

Okay so i had to wangle a bikini into the wish list, i will most likely try get this before i go away because of the heavy 50's influence and it's perfect for hour-glass shapes. Not sure about how the tan lines will look but ah well.

5) Alice in Wonderland book clutch. Olympia Le-Tan.

This stunning piece is a limited edition Olympia Le-Tan bag. It's a pretty rare version of the book clutch's, its quirky and has a gorgeous lining. I have been in love with these 'book bags' for a  very long time and to mix it with a lovely story such as Alice in Wonderland, it's pretty much perfect.

It's been nice to put all my current favourite things on one post for all to see. Hopefully one day i will own some of these things but for now i shall just admire from afar. The book clutch will most likely never be mine but it's nice to dream. Thanks for reading lovelies. I'd love to hear if you guy's have a wishlist kept away somewhere.

Love Madison

Dippy dye doo dah!

So i finally caved and decided to dip dye my hair. Let me explain why this is a bit of a big deal. I was on a bleach ban since i went crazy and kept doing it way too much. When i had VERY short white hair id go to my lovely hairdressers, Malcolm Murphy Hair, he would tut and hold up the ends of my hair then proceed to tell me i couldn't go on bleaching my hair. So i said goodbye to the white and hello to the auburn brown. I liked it, i was in shock seeing as i hadn't had brown hair for such a long time! Its been a fair few months now of living with the change and my hair actually feels like hair. ABOUT TIME! It's growing longer and is so much thicker. But alas, i was getting bored of it. So today i went and bought some bleach and did the ends of my hair. I kept it on for about 30 minutes then had a panic that it was burning my new nice thick hair so i took it off. To my disappointment it didn't really make much a difference, so being an ex bleach junkie i layered the bleach back on for round two. Left it for 45 minutes this time. Naughty. But it did make an difference! I was thrilled with how it turned out and what a difference it is to my hair. It's only subtle but i feel better now because i was bored of not dying it. I would advise watching a Youtube video on how to dip dye, the first time i did it, i hadn't of rubbed where the blonde/ginger was meant to fade to my natural hair colour so it looked a tad block-like. On the second round i did rub it in to make sure it was a fade and it worked! It still feels like healthy hair, i made sure of that by lathering it in Argan Oil.

Here's the finished product:

It's not as blonde as i want it but it will get there, gonna wait a few weeks (or days) then go over it again. I used a 12% peroxide and Blondor blue powder by Wella. The safest and best product i have used on my hair for years. It can be found in most hair dressing wholesaler's. This is a little change but has made a huge difference to my meh  hair related mood. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions or tips on how to do it better next time. This was just a little quick post because i haven't in such a long time and i got excited to show off my new hair :)

Promise to blog something bigger & better next time!

Thanks for reading!

P.S
I didn't just spend my days off dying my hair. I also watched one of my all time favourite films. The Breakfast Club.

Enjoy

Wait Mr Postman, is that for me?

After the most horrendous day of work with a very sniffley cold indeed, i walked home with a heavy heart, all that was waiting at home for me was a tin of Heinz and bad television. My boyfriend has a week of early starts so he's staying at his. My house-mate is working nights at her bar so I wont be seeing her till next week sometime. With this all in mind i put the key in the front door and went inside. Right in front of me was a HUGE package addressed to me. As i unwrapped it, i became overwhelmed. My STUNNING friend Paige Joanna Calvert had sent me the jumper i bought from her Ebay. Not only was the jumper amazing but she had also thrown in a delicate pastel blue shirt with an embroidered collar. As if that wasn't enough, i also discovered a lovely turquoise stone skull bracelet.

I delved deeper into the parcel bag and there was a card.
It read 'Madison' with 'SWALK' written underneath.
(For those who don't know what this means, it is 'Sealed with a loving kiss'.)

After reading her lovely little card, I noticed there was another card in the envelope, it was a print of one of her brilliant illustrations.
One of my favourites!

It's amazing what little gestures can do to change so much about my miserable mood and my generally down-beat-ness of this week. It's a beautiful and incredibly generous thing to do for someone. I was a little overwhelmed by it all to be honest.
  Made me all warm inside.
